The masks are objects I've been creating for a year. They are the result of research into the senses, silence, gesture and gaze.

They are materials made for the mind to dream. They are plastic works that belong to my visual poetics around queer and feminist eroticism and subjectivities in contemporary art.

They are the fruit of an imaginary from urban Amazonia region and other urban displacements.

My artwork plays with organic materials such as jute ropes, leather, pine cones and integrates the artificial realm through the inorganic and synthetic materials with its acrylic base, metal pieces and aerosol paint. The masks are inspired by the art of shibari and the practice of facerope.

In the making of the masks lies a fascination: Identities plasticity. Identities fragmentation. Identities reinvention.
